Hi Heidi, If you do not have any on hand just leave it out. The coffee just enhances the flavor. You can't use regular coffee because it would add unnecessary liquid. This is an example of what I mean by espresso instant powder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LTI9DH2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01LTI9DH2&linkCode=as2&tag=fittoserveg06-20&linkId=0b16eb7c16f1f2be9589c12e866571fa If you happen to have regular instant coffee this also would work.

To serve: Soak the blade of a thin knife in a cup of very hot water until warm. Slide the knife around the sides of the pan to release the cake. Place a piece of wax paper on top of the cake. Invert a plate over the wax paper and invert the pan onto the plate. Remove the pan and peel away the paper liner. Place a serving plate over the cake and turn the cake right-side up again; remove the wax paper. Dip a sharp knife in hot water and wipe it dry before cutting each slice. Those who “cheat” at the modern rules of eating, where the ultimate aim appears to be a white-eyed kind of superior weightlessness, are now so laughably old-fashioned that Americans (nearly 40% of whom are obese) are being invited to pay $38 to dress up as them, being photographed with pizza as a document of how far it’s possible to fall. Into a cereal bowl, into a pit, into a dark and terrifying place where you are a walking burger and no longer in control.

What is it about these foods that make us feel guilty? It’s different for everyone. Generally speaking, American society’s obsession with healthy eating can make it seem “better” to opt for a salad (nutritious, lower in calories, green) rather than a burger (oily, higher in calories, processed). In some cases, people have arbitrarily decided (perhaps after reading a misguided article or two) what foods are “good” or “bad” and feel guilty after eating a “bad’ food as a result of this categorization.

Lori and Michelle Corso‘s Raw Mini Chocolate Cream Cakes are not only healthy and easy to make, they are raw and gluten free too! Plus perfect individual serving! Plus this recipe can be easily changed to your taste preference. We used pecans in the crust, but any nut would work.  For the filling, we used cashews as they provide the best cream. But macadamia nuts would be okay.  We reduced the amount of sugar in these chocolate cream cakes, so adjust to your liking.
First of all, what are guilt free snacks? That term can mean different things to different people. When we say “guilt free snacks” we’re referring to the guilt felt by those who eat sinfully delicious, yet calorie rich snacks in lieu of healthier options. Guilt free snacks take the guilt out of snacking by replacing things like saturated fat and sugar with more nutritious calorie sources, like protein and slow burning carbs that won’t spike your blood sugar.
This variation is most often used in medical settings. Often, the dieter will start this variation with a three day fast. The RKD is the most effective keto diet for fighting against cancer. A 2010 study showed that a patient with a form of brain cancer had no signs of mutated brain tissue after two months on this diet. Medical professionals will not only monitor caloric intake, carbs, and ketosis, but specific ketone levels will need to be achieved.

I’m Julie. This is where my love of cupcakes, digital photography as well as writing comes to life! How did this recipe thing all begin? In November of 2012, I made the decision that I needed to keep a log of my recipes, so I started a simple recipe blog. This beautiful collection of cupcakes and cafe delights continues to grow every week and I can’t wait to see where it is 5 years down the road. My grandma encouraged all of my baking. At family gatherings with well over 250 individuals the midst of absolutely no where, she consistently was able to create perfect cherry cobblers along with other goodies for dessert over the campfire. It seemed to be like magic for me.

This vegan baked oatmeal recipe is ideal for breakfast, or as a nutrient-packed dessert. Featuring apples, walnuts, cinnamon and chia seeds, it's a warm and nourishing must-bake. Top with vegan ice cream for a healthy apple crumble alternative!

This recipe calls for 20 soaked and pitted Medjool dates, ¼ cup pure grade B maple syrup, ¾ cup raw and soaked cashews, 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Simply place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until the mixture comes together. Form into about 20 bite sized rounds roll in some unsweetened shredded coconut and store in the refrigerator.
Great, super rich, vven taking short cuts with recipe! We loved this cake. I took a couple of shortcuts and it still came out great. First, I made this in a cheesecake springform pan without the water bath around it ( these pans would leak) so it would be easier to get out of the pan without inverting. Baked fine without the water bath around it and came out of pan. Secondly, I did not do the sugar, flour mixture in a pan as I thought I might burn it. I melted the chocolate in a double boiler and added the sugar and milk right to it in the double boiler. Thirdly, I did not make the topping but thought I might serve it with thaws frozen raspberries. S all in all, I made the recipe easier and it was rich and delicious. Pros: Delicious Cons: None
Ketogenic diets also help lower insulin levels, which can prevent type 2 diabetes, or reduce the symptoms of those with T2 Diabetes. The pancreas makes insulin to regulate glucose levels and move glucose through the bloodstream.  Since the ketogenic diets limits carbohydrate intake, your body will have less glucose and therefore produce less insulin.
You think that name is a mouthful, wait until you try these! Dates are one of the best foods to eat for your digestion. Their high fiber content regulates the digestive process, and they are the perfect natural sweetener for healthy desserts and snacks. Many health specialists say that eating one a day is good for a balanced diet. We’d say that stuffing one with peanut butter and covering it in dark chocolate is the best way to eat that one.

Using the peanut paste, you can smear it on apples, bananas, or rice crackers. You can also replace the peanut butter in your favourite Thai noodle sauce with PB2, or use it in its powdered form in baked goods. If you go the baked goods route, make sure to swap out about ¼ of flour the recipe calls for since you’ll be adding extra powder with the PB2.
