I've made so far: The chocolate chip pancakes. Amazing tasting, speedy and a great breakfast. Breakfast nachos! Better than expected and took all of 5 minutes. Sausage Biscuit, a more time intensive meal but I found the end result great. I actually used the leftovers to make things other than sausage biscuits such as a reasonably sized sausage sub for lunch as well. The biscuits were so good that I ate a couple on their own!
Further proof that we are living in some bizarro capitalist dystopia came with reports from the United States on the ‘trend’ of co-workers donating portions of their paltry holiday allowance to new parents who have used up their paid family leave. Rather than a horrifying exposé of structural manipulation, it was framed as a cheery feelgood story of everyday heroism. Something is terribly, terribly wrong.
Because healthy foods are delicious and are supposed to be!!!! Have you ever went through a long period of no sugar and realized how tasty fruits and veggies really are? The problem is, our taste buds are desensitized to naturally delicious, natural foods thanks to processed foods. And I once heard on Dr Oz, we are addicted to our food people! So no, I do not buy your argument to justify to continue to eat processed, high fat, and high sugar foods, that we are addicted to. I guarantee you, if you ate all natural foods that our bodies were designed to consume, we would naturally return to a normal and healthy weight, and we would no longer overeat. Read the latest research on epigenetics…..our cells rely on certain vitamins and minerals, and many genes of certain diseases are turned on later in life bc of our bad habits.
“Food is not morally good or bad,” said Alyssa Pike, a registered dietician and the nutrition communications coordinator for the International Food Information Council Foundation. “It’s only when you categorize it that way when feelings of shame or guilt become associated with certain foods. Once we stop labeling foods as good or bad, we can stop feeling guilty about them.”
To avoid these messages is a part-time job with little security and no holiday, yet vital, if you want to enjoy food and still not detest your belly. And even when you’re sane, even when you know that thinness is not godliness and sugar is not evil, there is still the pressing awareness, like a small sharp stone in your shoe, that eating a burger is… wrong.

Food guilt is something a lot of people struggle with daily and it’s no wonder since the messages around us are constantly telling us to eat less red meat, that eggs are high in cholesterol, that all carbs are bad, that you must eat non-GMO and 100% organic, that saturated fat is bad and too much fruit is bad - it’s no wonder the population is confused and feeling guilty! Not only that, but many of us are trying to lose a few extra pounds, so even if healthy food is being consumed, there is still a lot of guilt experienced around the amount of calories one has probably eaten.
If you want to beat food guilt, think about why you have it in the first place. What triggers your guilt? It might be specific foods or it might be an internal feeling. Now think about why. Do you feel bloated after you eat it? Did someone once tell you that X food was healthier than Y food and now you feel bad after eating Y food? Once you find the root of your guilt, you can start to alleviate it.
its raelly obvious, if your favorite food is bad for you guess what NO WEIGHT HAHA! actually, that would be really bad cuz a. when most people hear this there gunna be like yes! and eat a lot of junk food, but you can still get diabetes and stuff and by the time you stop its too late, and b. gaining weight is important to health if you don't you die :p (red is still better cuz fav food is prob bad for you eat anything you can vary so die either way but watevs)
Not only do these energy bites look amazing, but they also taste amazing! All that needs to be done is mixing the ingredients and throwing them in the fridge to set. No butter or sugar added, this is a great snack that won’t leave you feeling guilty. Enjoy one or two between meals throughout your day to keep you energized and away from that 2 o’clock crash.
I decided to make it while my older boys were at baseball practice (so they wouldn’t see what I was making) and then give them a piece after dinner and get their feedback. They. Loved. It. When I told them it had a can of Diet Coke in it, their jaws hit the floor! You can use any kind of diet soda and any cake mix too – I’m already thinking of the yummy combos! Strawberry cake mix + orange soda, funfetti cake + lemon-lime soda, I mean seriously the list goes on and on! I’m a chocolate freak and currently trying to maintain a healthier diet, so this really hit the spot!
Who doesn’t love a good brownie for dessert? The problem is that traditional brownies are full of sugar, artificial ingredients, and gluten which is not something you would want to include as part of a healthy diet. However, this doesn’t mean that you can never enjoy a brownie again it just means that you have to get creative with how you make your brownie recipes.

What if I were to tell you there is a way to eat without any remorse and all the mental space that was once occupied with guilt could be freed up for more productive thoughts? Well there is and it’s all about focusing on nutrient dense whole foods, which by the way, can be delicious and totally satisfying. There is an awful stigma that says healthy food is bland and undesirable, but that just isn’t true if you are eating a balanced diet.
