Peanut butter has to be one of my favourite go-to spreads. But I have to admit, I always feel a little bit guilty after indulging in it. It may be delicious, but it’s packed with calories, and the non-organic peanut butter that fills most households is basically pure sugar, which is no good, especially if you’re trying to lose weight. You may know that the keto diet is one of the most effective eating plans for weight loss, but did you know the PB2 keto recipes offer an even better way to lose weight and make it last? That’s right, you can get all the benefits of the keto diet, plus even lower calorie snacks and meals due to PB2!

These vegan-friendly peanut butter cheese crackers might look familiar. Remember that old Keebler Sandwich Cracker that left your fingers orange and oily. Those highly processed crackers are made with words that are unknown to the English language that will keep the shelf life long but your appetite short. Those may be a quick fix, but there are almost no nutrients in the supermarket version of these cookies. We recommend you give these natural peanut butter cheese crackers a try next time you’re in the mood for something savory with a little sweet!

Turn off the oven and head to your nearest farmers’ market to grab a basket of naturally sweet and tangy raspberries. This raw and vegan dessert will please any diner, regardless of dietary restriction.

3. TO MAKE THE TOPPING: In a food processor, combine the almonds, flour, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until finely ground. Add the vanilla and butter. Pulse until the butter is cut into small crumbs. Pour half of the peaches into the prepared pan. Add half of the raspberries. Top with the remaining peaches and then the remaining raspberries. Sprinkle with the topping and press gently.
Then we have a box of Cheetos and glass of soda. The glass of soda is a bunch of chemicals and pure sugar that has no nutrients. Just caloric energy (calories). The Cheetos are made from chemicals and wheat that has been stripped of its nutrients and processed down to flour. This process makes these foods more calorie dense and easier to consume more of.

There's nothing sinister about these no-bake fudgy brownies. Made with good-for-you ingredients like dates, raw cocoa and natural peanut butter, they'll fuel your body instead of tiring it out.

If you’re looking for a way to sustain your health and weight loss goals, the keto diet may be just the thing for you. It’s a high fat, low carb eating plan that forces your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. When your body is in ketosis, it uses fat as its primary food source, rather than carbohydrates. Your body typically burns carbs for energy, but the goal of the keto diet is to rid your body of as many carbs as you can so that your body has to look elsewhere for fuel. It ends up burning new and stored fat for weight loss that actually lasts!
4. HEAT an 8" skillet on medium heat. Spray with cooking spray and pour about 1⁄4 cup of the batter into the skillet. Immediately tilt the skillet and swirl the batter around to coat the entire cooking surface. Cook until the bottom side is golden brown, 1 to 1½ minutes. Loosen with a spatula and flip, using the spatula and your fingers to help turn the crêpe. Cook until the opposite side is golden brown, reducing the heat to medium low if the crêpe browns too quickly, about 45 seconds. Transfer to a plate and cover with a kitchen towel.
Raw chocolate, or better known in the raw food world as “raw cacao” is an amazing source of magnesium (great for helping you relax), as well as an astounding way to gobble up antioxidants. And, it contains phenylethylamine (PEA) — this is what our brains secrete when we fall in love. Ooooh! No wonder we love Kristen Suzanne‘s Raw Double Chocolate Cherry Cheesecakes so much!

As with all diets, you should keep in mind that fat intake is different for everyone, so you can tweak it to your optimal consumption point.

What is it about these foods that make us feel guilty? It’s different for everyone. Generally speaking, American society’s obsession with healthy eating can make it seem “better” to opt for a salad (nutritious, lower in calories, green) rather than a burger (oily, higher in calories, processed). In some cases, people have arbitrarily decided (perhaps after reading a misguided article or two) what foods are “good” or “bad” and feel guilty after eating a “bad’ food as a result of this categorization.
“There are an abundance of messages that tell overweight people it should be easy to lose or maintain a healthy weight,” she said. “For instance, ‘just eat less and move more.’ There are a lot of negative and shaming words and phrases around food: ‘I shouldn’t,’ ‘it’s naughty,’ ‘it’s a treat,’ ‘I’ve been good, so I’ll have one.’ We are wired to move away from pain, so the term ‘guilt-free’ likely provides a sense of relief that comes from reading a ‘guilt-free’ message before buying, and it helps marketers sell their products.”

Although preferable, you DON’T have to. You see, most alcohol contains large amounts of carbs, which you are trying to control while on Ketogenic diet. Vodka with soda water and lime has zero carbs. So does tequila, brandy, and whiskey. Most glasses of wine (5oz, not the full glass) have 0-4g of carbs. Beer and mixed drinks have significantly more carbs. So if you are having your drinks straight up, you’ll be safer.
The beauty of vegan baking and raw cake-making is that you can totally reinvent classic dishes. That way, you get to enjoy two versions: the more traditional, familiar recipe, and the new, tantalizing recipe. The brownie base of Clémence Moulart‘s Raw Walnut Coffee Cake is a cheeky wink to all the chocolate lovers out there: it makes this cake even more indulgent!
You think that name is a mouthful, wait until you try these! Dates are one of the best foods to eat for your digestion. Their high fiber content regulates the digestive process, and they are the perfect natural sweetener for healthy desserts and snacks. Many health specialists say that eating one a day is good for a balanced diet. We’d say that stuffing one with peanut butter and covering it in dark chocolate is the best way to eat that one.

UV radiation is one part of the spectrum of light that reaches the earth from the sun. At the UV end of the spectrum, the wavelengths are too short to be visible to the naked eye. They range in length from 100 to 400 nanometers (nm, or billionths of a meter) and are classified — from the longest to the shortest — as UVA (320 to 400 nm), UVB (290 to 315 nm), and UVC (100 to 280 nm). UVA rays, which penetrate deep into the skin, are responsible for tanning. UVB rays damage superficial skin cell layers, causing sunburn. UVC rays, the shortest, are considered harmless, since most UVC light is absorbed by ozone in the upper atmosphere and thus does not reach the earth. Of the UV solar radiation that does reach the earth, up to 95% is UVA, and about 5% is UVB. For years, scientists believed UVB rays were the most harmful, because sunburn is linked to melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. But since the late 1980s, we've learned that UVA rays also increase skin cancer risk — and they are the main cause of photoaging.
Quick story: My brother recently moved to Bermuda for work and went to a new dentist there. While the dentist was introducing himself - doing his spiel - he touted to my brother, “And I want you to know, we’re very proud that all of our equipment is totally sterile and we check it before each patient - just like in the States!” Not only did this make my brother think about the possibility of non-sterile equipment being used but it also created doubt about other dentists in Bermuda! (and was a funny story) Point is: making a statement like this - even if it’s about something that didn’t cross your mind earlier, or that you already assumed to be true, creates doubt about other products that don’t advertise that feature.
